As a first time visitor, I was very apprehensive of staying in the Barn I had visions of barn owls and harvest mice but I could not have been more wrong. I have just spent 2 weeks being treated like a goddess by wonderful staff who seem to be unable to do enough to please me, despite sometimes being called out by me at 3 o’clock in the morning. The standard of catering is tantamount to a five star hotel and the standard of entente cordiale of everybody concerned is most enjoyable. I go home tomorrow (Saturday 3rd November) but I shall ensure that I book up for 2 more weeks next year to return to paradise.

Having previously stayed at a nursing home which did not meet my needs, I came to The Barn for the first time feeling very nervous that it would be more of the same. During my time here I have been out on a carriage ride, out with a member of staff on a golf buggy and out on Halloween at dusk to see the deer. My experience of staying at The Barn has been absolutely fantastic; the staff have been so helpful. The food was wonderful and it was great to watch the staff preparing it. I have made new friends during my time here. I will be back.
