Summer Fair Success and Raffle Ticket Winners!
On Saturday 5th June 2010 Holton Lee held its Summer Fair.
Saturday dawned bright and sunny and over 750 people visited Holton Lee and helped to raise in excess of £3,500 for the charity.
We also have a list of the lucky winners from the Raffle!

Saturday dawned bright and sunny and over 750 people visited Holton Lee and helped to raise in excess of £3,500 for the charity.
Visitors enjoyed a music competition, won by local group ‘Looks Like Rain’, displays and demonstrations such as Wessex International Majorettes and Dorset Police Dogs, whilst dog owners had a chance to challenge their dogs to see whether they could undertake the tasks that Wessex Assisting Dogs do on a daily basis.
A run-away success (or perhaps flyaway success) was the Teddy bear Parachuting, where daring bears were given the opportunity to parachute over 100 feet from the top of a fire engine with the help Westbourne Fire Station crew. Young and old alike checked their bears in with the ground crew and assisted them into mini parachutes before they were winched up the 100 feet for their launch and return to terra firma, where they received a certificate of bravery for their efforts.
Visitors also had a chance to explore the estate with tractor rides and have a go at some of the activities which take place regularly on site with stone carving, printmaking sessions as well as demonstrations of woodworking.
We’d like to thank everyone who attended the event, and all of the volunteers who worked so hard both on the day and in the lead up to the event and helped to make it so successful, and we’ve started to plan next year’s event already!
A thank you to all those who bought raffle tickets. Money raised aims to raise funds for developing day activities at Holton Lee.
