Holton Lee recently received news from the Arts Council that our Grants for the Arts Application was not successful. This has resulted in a loss of over £70,000 per year to the arts programme at Holton Lee, and the Arts Aspect can no longer sustain the posts of Curator and Archive Assistant.
Whilst this news is very disappointing, it does not mean the end of the arts at Holton Lee. Exhibitions will continue for the rest of this year, thanks in part to the artists involved, and subject to raising additional funds the arts programme will continue to have an impact on people both in the Southwest and further afield.
Abi Kremer, an artist and member of the Arts Aspect Group, who regularly works at Holton Lee has written a response and invites you to join her in expressing support for the work of Holton Lee through signing the petition.
