Green team
To maintain the habitats at Holton Lee requires a significant amount of conservation work through staff and loyal volunteers who form the green team. The green team is a volunteer group working on conservation tasks on SSSIs, around Dorset as well as Holton Lee. These include:-
• Felling conifer trees to recreate heathland habitats
• Removing invasive and non-native plants from all habitats
• Creating hazel coppice
• Fence construction
